When it comes to getting fit, increasing strength and building muscle mass, it’s essential to workout regularly. The saying, “if you don’t train, you don’t gain” is definitely true. But the problem most people face is trying to find the time to squeeze in a training session. This is where the Tower 200 enters the picture with its bold quote “gotta door, you gotta gym”.
The Tower 200 has been received a lot of attention since it first launched, due to MMA legend Randy “The Natural” Couture being one of the celebrities who has endorsed this product. Not only does he recommend it but he also says he has used it to train for his fights. But I hope you realize by now, just because a celebrity recommends somethings, it definitely does not mean the product is of exceptional value.
The Tower 200 is a fitness tool that comes from the popular Body By Jake product range. It’s designed to be mounted onto a doorway in your house, office, or literally anywhere there is a door. Boasting over 200 exercises and a streamlined workout program, The Tower 200 has been created to appeal to people who want the flexibility to workout at home and do so in the quickest time possible.
Whenever a clever fitness tool or piece of equipment comes out, it’s always a good idea to ask the question, “can I just get the same if not better workout with regular equipment?” If you don’t ask a question that is similar to this one, then you could end up falling for the amazing body’s shown in the advertising, the mind-blowing promises, and the celebrity endorsements. So it’s essential to make a purchase based on logic and rational thinking, not your emotions.
So does The Tower 200 deliver? To clear things up, if you are a bodybuilder or a gym junkie who has been lifting for longer than a year, then this product is not for you. Even though this product offers 200 pounds of resistance, for big, compound lifts such as the squat and deadlift, veteran bodybuilders will require far more resistance that what is offered with this product.
But if you are a total beginner to the world of resistance training, then The Tower 200 can be a wonderful way to increase your strength and get a solid workout. The same goes for people who have had a long break from working out and want to get back into it. 200 pounds of resistance is plenty for newbies or those who are getting back into training.
Tower 200 Pro’s (The Good Stuff)
- Super Easy And Quick Set Up – The Tower 200 is easily assembled within a few minutes. In fact, it comes pre-assembled, so you won’t have to get out your tool kit. Simply slide it onto your door and you’re done. It doesn’t get much easier than this.
- DVD And Exercise Chart – What good is a piece of exercise equipment, if you have no idea how to use it? Luckily, The Tower 200 comes with a detailed DVD and exercise chart, which shows you how to do all the exercises. Randy Couture demonstrates how to do a killer 11 minute workout called the “Mother Of All Workouts”, which will definitely be a challenge for most people. For best results, this workout should be repeated 4 – 5 times per week.
- Great For Busy People – Can you squeeze a powerful 11 minute workout into your busy schedule? Of course you can! The Tower 200 workout and exercise plan is designed with speed in mind. You will hit every muscle in the body during this tough workout and results can be seen within only a few short weeks.
- Progressive Overload Made Easy – To get bigger and stronger from your workouts, it’s vitally important that the principle of progressive overload is included in each workout. If you have not heard this principle before, basically it means that you will need to consistently be increasing the amount of resistance during each workout. If you want your body to grow, you will need to keep increasing the stress placed on your body.
With The Tower 200, you will easily be able to put the principle of progressive overload into practice. Unlike weight lifting, where it can be difficult to progress in small steps from one weight to the next, the power cords allow you to increase the resistance each and every workout. This is one of the biggest benefits of using this unique exercise device.
Tower 200 Con’s (The Bad Stuff)
- 200 Exercises…Really? – I have to admit I didn’t like the way this product is sold as a way to do 200 exercises when really this is not the case. For instance, if you do bicep curls with your left hand and then your right, that is considered two exercises. Likewise, if you were to do the same exercise but using different stances, then each stance would be counted as one exercise.
Now, in the above scenarios, these could technically be viewed as new exercises but to be honest I would put them all under the same exercise category and not call them new at all. So the number of total exercises is closer to 100, which is still a very impressive number.
- Better Suited For Some Exercises Over Others – Although you will be able to effectively target all the muscle groups throughout your entire body, it’s worth pointing out that some exercises will work better than others. Typically any type of exercise that involves pushing or pulling on the horizontal plane, such as cable rows, will work better than those that use the vertical plane, such as shoulder presses. But having said this, with 200 pounds of resistance, this will not be a problem for most people.
Tower 200 Review Conclusion
Overall, the Tower 200 exercise device can definitely be used to get a powerful fat burning, muscle building, and strength gaining workout quickly, and in the comfort of your own home or office. If you are a beginner or have had a break from lifting weights, then this Body By Jake product could be the perfect solution you have been searching for. Whether or not you choose to invest in the Tower 200, I am sure you won’t be able to look at a doorway the same way again!
